I find it a bit busy but that's not really an issue. However, the blue text on the blue background is a little hard to read. Any chance you could change it to a more contrasty colour?

Yes, changing the text color is not a big problem at all. Also if you know some background that could work better with this forum just let me know/pass a link or something and I will have a look into that as well.
What would be a good text color in your opinion to replace the blue? I think it should not be black as all other text goes with that already.

Orange contrasts well with blue ... so anything in the orange "area" of the spectrum could work - even a copper or brown. Could you make the text bigger as well? That would make it stand out more too.
